Chevron Corp. Raises Meaningful Funds for CMN Hospitals

Chevron Corp. company-owned, company-operated (COCO) retail stations may be the face of Chevron, but they’re also at its heart. COCO has raised an impressive $11 million for local and national charities in the last 10 years, working with and bolstering communities across the West Coast. In recent years, its social investment program has focused on children’s health through collaborations with multiple reputable organizations, including Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals.

In March 2018, COCO held its annual Miracle Balloon campaign for CMN Hospitals and raised $459,000! Every single dollar raised is directed to local hospitals across the West Coast. These hospitals include:

  • Children’s Hospital in Orange County (CHOC)
  • UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals
  • Lauren Small Children’s Center
  • Valley Children’s Hospital
  • Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles (CHLA)
  • Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital
  • Phoenix Children’s Hospital
  • OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital
  • UC Davis Children’s Hospital
  • Rady Children’s Hospital
  • Cottage Children’s Medical Center
  • Seattle Children’s Hospital

For the past seven years, COCO has raised $3.4 million to help fund research, health care, and services with the goal of saving and improving the lives of as many children as possible.

CMN Hospitals Senior Manager of Corporate Partnerships, Nick Coleman said, “We’re very proud to work with Chevron to raise funds for children’s hospitals and to support children and their families. Chevron is committed to helping improve communities, and they showcase this goodwill through our collaboration.”

“Our relationship with the Children’s Miracle Network is deeply rooted in the community and highly valued,” agreed District Sales Manager Jerry Mejia. “Our customers feel positive in contributing to the campaign, our employees rally around the cause, and it allows us another opportunity to fortify our relationships with local communities.”

The same Chevron COCO stores will be hosting another Miracle Balloon icon campaign in April of 2019.
